My rescue dog Kenji came with a lot of endearing qualities, but he was also unsocialized and would attack other dogs without provocation. When an animal control officer came to my door (someone had turned us in), I knew I had to do something. We did several one on one sessions with Youngblood, and Kenji quickly became a much better behaved dog.He now walks on the lease nicely, comes when called when off leash, and looks to me for direction when approaching other dogs. Everyone at the dog park we frequent has been amazed at his transformation. With Youngblood's instructions made immediate sense, and it has had profound implications on my relationship with my dog. Even though we have graduated, I continue to work on the principles I have learned from Youngblood, which really enhance my relationship with Kenji.

As a professional off-leash dog walker, I have had experience with dozens of dog training professionals in the Bay area. When it came time to train my own puppy, Cherry, without hesitation I chose Youngblood. When I adopted Cherry at five months, she was considered a difficult puppy who would be a challenge to any family. A year later, she has the best manners on leash in public of any dog I have ever seen. We go to outdoor restaurants and cafe several times a week with her and without fail, people remark on her excellent manners. And we can confidently vacation with her everywhere dogs are allowed. Off-leash she is also remarkably obedient and enjoys a lot of freedom afforded only to well-behaved dogs. And she is eagerly engaged by our continued training with Youngblood in competitive obedience.I am grateful for Youngblood's tale ts and time and Cherry's transformation was a success due to his influence. And I will continue to train with Youngblood as it is money well spent. I don't care if he teaches us tricks, tracking or whatever else to keep us busy, I simply want him to continue helping me unlock my dog's potential.

I'm sort of a training junkie and have worked with many different bay area trainers. I can say that hands down, I have learned the most from Youngblood. His approach to me stands out for several different reasons. First, it is clear that he is a natural with animals. His ability to read individual dogs is like no one else I have seen. He also is great at making training accessible, explaining it in a way that makes it clear and simple, even when you are dealing with complex issues. His approach is balanced, specific to the dog he is training, clear and humane. I trust Youngblood completely. He has helped me, and continues to help me with my own and my foster dogs, and I credit the great relationship I have with my pit bull mix Abner, to Youngblood and his training methodology. From Youngblood I learned how to motivate my dog, how to be clear, how to build his confidence, and how to keep training fun and interesting. Many people can get a dog to obey a person, but Youngblood has taught me how to work *with* my dog, and build our relationship. Anyone can see it when they watch Abner performing obedience. He is happy, enthusiastic, and it is clear that we are a team. Abner and I, and all my foster dogs feel grateful and lucky to have found such a rare and talented trainer!

We adopted two large American Bulldogs about a year and a half ago. Soon after, behavioral problems started appearing. After working with there trainers, the problems still existed. The last trainer told us he couldn't help us,and suggested that we call Youngblood. We were feeling that we may have to give up the large male. This was devastating to us, as the dogs were now our family. After the first session with Youngblood, we saw immediate improvement in the way we handled the dogs. We know that without Youngblood we would not have our dogs. He is a natural with animals and we have learned so much working with him. Not only are we better at working with the dogs, we also understand their behavior. Thank you Youngblood!!!!
