Youngblood has been involved with caring for and the training of dogs for as long as he can remember. Always surrounded by dogs through out his life, whether it be his own or a stray he would tend to, he formed a ongoing appreciation and respect for dogs that he still has today. His formal knowledge of dog training began shortly after acquiring a job at the San Francisco SPCA. There he met Ivan Balabanov, one of the most accomplished dog trainers in the United States. For four years he apprenticed and trained under Ivan, during that time Youngblood's understanding and passion for dog training increased tremendously.
With his expertise in dog behavior and his patient teaching ability, Youngblood has helped hundreds of dog owners in the Bay Area not just resolve their dog's behavior problems but offered insight into the causes of the problem. In addition to pet dog training Youngblood is also active in the dog sport of Schutzhund, Where he has coached dog/handler teams to compete at regional and national events.
